Small maple syrup jug with non-functional loop...

 

Don’t have a bottle of the real stuff? Brew up this yummy substitute, but try and let it sit for 24 hours before use.

 

Pour 3-1/2 cups brown sugar into 2 cups boiling water. Add 1 tsp maple syrup extract. Stir well, allow to stand 24 hours to blend before using. Makes 1 quart.
